Pantone, the worldwide standard for color communication and inspiration since 1963, has announced the color for 2013… Emerald. Calling it “Lively. Radiant. Lush… A color of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony” Pantone says in their press release that the gemstone color has been trending in women’s formal and everyday wear, with designers like Nanette Lapore and Tracy Reese incorporating the vibrant green into their spring lines.
Last year’s color, Tangerine Tango, gave us a burst of color and energy. The soothing Emerald green of 2013 is, according to Pantone, to represent healing and unity.
Sephora, in colaboration with Pantone, will be launching a Pantone Emerald line of make-up beginning in March 2013. The limited edition 2013 Color of the Year beauty collection will feature a variety of products in Emerald, including eye shadow, nail polish and accessories, and will be available at Sephora stores across the U.S., Sephora inside JCP and online at Sephora.com.
You will also be able to add that pop of color to your home with Pantone bedding, pillows, bath towels and accessories in Emerald available exclusively at jcpenney stores and on jcp.com beginning February 1, 2013.
