Project Red Dress 2012 is Directed by the Metropolitan Fashion Week under the direction of Eduardo Khawam, who will deliver the most exquisite night of class and style at the timeless Fairmont Olympic Hotel. ”Evening Magazine” reporter and host Jim Dever will host. There will be a special performance by the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra. And gowns designed by 12 students from local fashion design schools will be participating in this year’s competition. All for a good cause. Tickets can be purchased online.

This event features a passport program with “heart-healthy” stops designed to educate participants on their risk factors for heart disease and living a healthy lifestyle. Stations will include Hands-Only CPR training with firefighters, chair massages, fitness information, and balanced nutrition.Participants who complete the passport program will be entered to win a grand prize from Macy’s.
Heart disease and stroke survivors, and women that have made healthy lifestyle changes are invited to come and share their personal stories and enter the national search for Go Red spokespersons.

The Washington Plus America pageant has chosen the American Heart Association as one of two charity partners for 2012. In addition to helping raise awareness about women and heart disease, Washington Plus America will donate all proceeds from its Red Carpet Launch Party to Go Red For Women. The Red Carpet Launch Party is the official kickoff to their first annual pageant weekend, and features live entertainment from the EriAm Sisters. The event is open to the public.
